Shreya Bollywood Dance - Mother - an unconditional love! Blog
Mother – Just another form of GOD!
Mother is always just a mother, there are no types in them. Person having more mothers are always on more blessings from GOD! Working mother, housewife mother, mother-in-law, stepmother they are just given names to be able to distinguish the relationship. But basic nature is the same in all.
This is we are talking about humans, but even animals show same nature too. The difference is they do not speak it aloud like we humans do! But protecting them and making them ready to face the world and be able to stand out is what I guess the motto of mother is!! Even a small bird also shows same qualities. Protect them from snakes and at the same time teaches them to fly... basically, making them use the feature as their quality!
Mother at each phase of life is there to teach us, protect us. Before marriage one role is handled by biological mother, after marriage, another role is handled by mother-in-law. In this phase whatever we learn is enough to protect the next generation.
Mothers’ sister is also half mother and similarly, fathers sister is also half mother. Those bonding are always there … by default! But there are many times a mother feels. I have sensed even in my entire family and at my workplace too!
Thanks for the quote which I read on mother just by chance, and it gave me an idea that peaked within just a day! That quote helped to give a flashback to all small memories which were so special but I never got time to speak about! And hence decided to express my thanks to my all mothers through the performance! I feel using song on mother explains her in a better way. Hope you all will like it and be in all those memories and have flashbacks with all your mothers! Song used is below with translated lyrics.
This piece to me is incredibly vulnerable, in it depicts the battle with the idea of what is conventionally considered ‘good’ or ‘bad’, and my personal experiences of perfectionism. It has given me the opportunity to look at my own experiences from an outside perspective, while still embodying those feelings. It creates an interesting juxtaposition when working with this theme and breaking it apart, while still experiencing the cycle, contemplation and emotions of perfectionism while creating this work.
My hope is to take this work as an open letter to myself in letting go of some of the power perfectionism holds over me. I also hope to create an impactful work that to an outside eye depicts the vicious cycle of perfectionism, and how crippling it can become, and the feeling of navigating a world that strives for the ideal. In Decipher it is important for me to begin to break this cycle, and recognize what perfectionism means for me, and for artists and humans alike.
Please don’t forget to say thank you to them... spending time with them and have value their work done for us is what they want in their life!
